Each individual has different coping strategies for stress. Some may avoid the source of stress (stressor) to deal with feelings of depression, while others may seek ways to solve problems that cause stress.

The strategy used by individuals in coping with stress is called stress language, which is a process or habit of recovering from the effects of stressful experiences or physical and psychological reactions in the form of feelings of discomfort or stress that is being faced by individuals which include cognitive strategies and behaviors used to manage stressful situations and negative emotions.

Usually, these habits/methods are done consciously or unconsciously to reduce unpleasant emotions in two ways:
 - Emotional-focused coping by regulating and relieving emotions.
 - Problem-focused coping with the stress directly to the root of the problem.

From a quick survey conducted by muniyo.com, it turns out that people often do emotional-focused coping, relieving their emotions by doing other activities. 36% of people chose eating good food, 31% preferred traveling, 18% choose solitude, and 15% choose other activities.

Does your stress language habit make you want to do self-reward?
